Warning about New Jeans and Designer Purses

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

Warning About New Jeans! In talking to one of the leading professional cleaners in the country, he strongly cautioned me to warn you about the dye in your new denim jeans. If you have on new denim, do not carry your handbag in a manner that will directly rub against your jeans. The over-dye in the jeans can stain your handbags making it difficult for even professionals to get the handbag clean. Once you have washed your new denim clothing a few times, you will be alright to carry your handbag in a normal way. Keep your Coach handbags looking great and have a great day!

How to Clean Your Coach Purse

Friday, June 13th, 2008

Just as the type of purse you purchase depends on your style and personal preferences, so does the way you choose to clean your coach purse. You have several options for keeping your designer purse looking great through the wear of normal life. There are not any right or wrong suggestions here, it really depends on your comfort level with each option and the type of cleaning you need.

COACH CLEANER
The Coach Company sells cleaning products specific to each style of purse. These cleaners can be purchased at Coach retailers for $10 or from the Coach.com website. In my opinion, spending $10 on a cleaner to keep your purchase of a few hundred dollars looking great sounds like a fantastic idea to me. This method of cleaning has worked great for me. In addition, the Coach website gives you suggestions on how to keep each style of purse looking great. I have copied the information for your reading ease or you can look directed at the Coach.com site on how to clean your Coach Purse.

PROFESSIONAL CLEANER
There are drycleaners that also clean purses. I would caution you here that cleaning a purse is not letting a machine clean it but requires a person to clean the purse. Before you drop your bag off at a local drycleaner, you need to make sure you are comfortable the cleaner knows what he/she is doing. I am in the process of talking with dry cleaning companies so I can refer you to one that knows what they are doing. For a really stained or dirty bag, this may be the best option.

RETAIL STORES
Stores that carry Coach products may also be good resources to find local reputable companies to clean your handbag. Some retail store also offer purse cleaning services to their customers.

THE DO IT YOURSELF WAY
There is just that part in some of you that just want to see if any idea would work or if you can get your purse clean yourself. So for those creative solution people, you can try solutions what you would normally do for a delicate items with stains. Using a gentle detergent diluted in warm water with a light colored cloth should be a good solution. As always when you try something new, you should also test a spot before doing the entire bag.
So whatever way you are comfortable, keep your bag looking great! Stay tuned for more information on cleaning your purse. Coming Soon — Get Your Purse Professionally Cleaned for Free
