Sometimes things just happen. When you have kids things happen more often for some odd reason. 
So you have your beautiful leather purse with a horrible, sticky, gooey mess.
Here is a suggestion to try to get the gum off and save your designer handbag.
1. Grab some ice cubes and toss them in a plastic bag. Seal the bag.
2. Rub the gum spot until it becomes hard.
3. Once the gum is hard you should be able to pull it off.
4. If you have some ‘leftover’ gum residue on the the handbag, heat on a low
setting with a hairdryer. Then rub the gum off with a cloth.
5. You then might want to get your leather cleaner out for your handbag and wipe
down the entire handbag.
